Warranty and Returns Policies

Warranties
DataCal Products Manufacturer's/Reseller's Warranty. DataCal warranties all of the products we sell to be free from manufacturer's defects for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of shipment. If the product is found to be defective due to manufacture within thirty days of sale and shipment, you should contact DataCal by service@datacal.com or by phone (480-813-3100). This warranty does not include damage due to shipping or mis-use or abuse of the product.

Non-DataCal Products (i.e., products manufactured by companies other than DataCal). After thirty days, products that are manufactured by other companies are covered by the manufacturer's warranty only. If a product is found defective after thirty (30) days, you should contact the manufacturer for assistance using the email address or the phone number included with the product.

Shipping Damage. If shipping damage is apparent at the time of delivery, you should point out the damage to the carrier's representative. You should ask the carrier's representative what their policy is for reporting such damage. If you don't discover the shipping damage until later, contact DataCal within 24 hours at service@datacal.com. Our office is staffed Monday through Friday. If your message arrives on Saturday or Sunday, you will not receive a response or acknowledgement until the next US business day.

In the event of shipping damage, keep all boxes and packaging. The carrier may require these items to complete your claim for damages and reimbursement.

Returns
Getting Return Authorization
If you need to return a product for any reason, you must first contact DataCal at service@datacal.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions. Items returned without first getting an RMA number will be refused; they will be returned to you at your expense.

When you return an item, you must pack the product in the original packaging along with all accessory items (cables, plugs, etc.). You should write the RMA number of the outside of the shipping box (not the product box). The product and packaging must be returned in re-sellable condition to qualify for refund, credit or exchange.

When returning a product, we strongly suggest that you use a carrier and method that provides insurance for damage or loss and a traceable tracking number.

Return of Defective Merchandise
DataCal will replace a defective item with the same product within thirty (30) days of the date of shipment. If you wish to return the item for credit only (not an exchange for a new product), a fifteen percent (15%) restocking fee will be charged; shipping and handling fees are not refundable for exchanges for credit. You must contact DataCal for an RMA number prior to returning it for credit or refund (see Getting Return Authorization above).

All products returned as defective are tested in our facility. Any products returned as defective that are found not defective will be charged a restocking fee of fifteen percent (15%). Any product that is not defective that does not include the original packaging or package contents will not be refunded or credited.

Return of Non-Defective Merchandise
DataCal will accept returns of non-defective products for any reason for a period of thirty (30) days after product shipment to the customer. Such returns will be subject to a fifteen percent (15%) restocking fee to cover the cost of inspecting and testing the product prior to returning it to resale status. You must contact DataCal for an RMA number prior to returning it for credit or refund (see Getting Return Authorization above).

Return of Products Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives damaged, open the package and check the contents. In some instances, the outside packaging may appear damaged, but the product is unharmed. If it appears that the product is damaged, get the customer number and order number from the invoice in the package. You should then contact the carrier and explain the problem. Have the carrier pick-up the package to return to DataCal; make sure that the carrier provides a receipt for the package when they pick it up. Contact DataCal at service@datacal.com and explain the problem. Be sure to provide your customer number and invoice number in the email.

Return Due to a Cancelled Order
You may contact DataCal to cancel an order prior to shipping; we will make every effort to ensure that the order is cancelled. If you cancel the order before we ship the product, there is no charge incurred. If your request to cancel arrives after we have shipped the product, then you may arrange to return it under the Return of Non-Defective Merchandise guidelines above.

Return of Custom Product Orders
Due to the unique nature of custom order products, they may not be returned for any reason.
